Two weeks ago we shared with you Michelle and Renée’s makeup essentials. This week the other half of Pinky Espresso, including our makeup guru Molly, will share with you their makeup essentials in their makeup bags. Enjoy!
1. Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing | 2. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisterizer SPF 20 – Illuminating | 3. CLINIQUE Perfectly Real Makeup | 4. MAKE UP FOR EVER Full Cover Concealer
The first step in my makeup regimen right after moisturizing is the Smashbox primer. Of all my beauty products this is the one that never changes. I’ve been using it over 10 years! It feels so smooth going on and really does a great job filling in my fine lines. The icing on the cake is the way it holds my makeup in place all day long. Sometimes even all night on those nights I am too tired or had to many cocktails to wash my face before bed. I have never really loved the feeling of having a face full of makeup so the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer is the perfect in between. It is moisturizing, it has SPF, it has slight coverage to blend out my skin, and my favorite part… it is illuminating to give my face a subtle glow, and not in a Vegas girl way. I love to use the Clinque in conjunction with the tinted mousierizer to give my face a little more coverage. I put a tiny dab in and blend it all together to really even everything out.
5. SEPHORA COLLECTION Long Lasting Kohl Pencil | 6. Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara | 7. SEPHORA COLLECTION Colorful Shadow & Liner
I am all about eyeliner and the Sephora kohl pencil is the most perfect I have found. Because it is kohl the color is super black and rich. The way it goes on is perfectly smudged for a subtle smokey eye. And unlike other kohl this one stays in place all day long! I think I have tried EVERY mascara out there and the Dior Overcurl is my absolute go to! It does the perfect amount of curling and lengthening for dramatic lashes with only one coat, which is necessary for a girl who would rather spend the extra 5 mintues in the morning grabbing an espresso than putting on mascara! I use the Sephora colorful shadow & liner to highlight the corner of my eyes for that extra pop.
8. Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil | 9. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel
I am just getting into the brow aspect of my beauty routine and the Anastasia brow pencil is fool proof for beginners! I think the name is perfect because it really is the perfect brow pencil. After the brown pencil I do a quick coat of the Benefit brow gel. It keeps my crazy brows in place all day long while plumping them up a bit to look fuller.
10. MAC Mineralize Bronzer
For someone who lives in the freezing east coast most of the year, I run with the motto “fake it til you make it” when it comes to my bronzer. I am a huge fan of a little shimmer in life as well so this bronzer is perfect. You literally look kissed by the sun!
My daily makeup routine is very basic and consists of only a few products. Less is more for me since I’m always dashing out the door.
1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Tan
I LOVE this as not only does it have SPF 20; but it also gives me the perfect amount of dewiness on my face. This also covers my slight blemishes and sunspots!
2. Kelley Baker Angle Spooly Brush | 3. Kelley Baker Brown Brow Powder
Brows frame your face so it’s important that your eyebrows are always on fleek! I thread/wax my brows monthly so it does not get too bushy. And on a daily basis I maintain my brows by tweezing away stray hairs that grow out. After I apply the tinted moisturizer on my face, I shade my eyebrows in slightly with Kelley Baker products for a more polished look.
3. Nars Blush in Orgasm
My ultimate favorite go to blush! It has the perfect amount of pink on my cheeks with a hint of shimmer for that highlighted look! People ask me all the time what blush I’m using and it’s always just an orgasm!
4. MAC Viva Glam Nikki Minaj Pink Satin | 5. Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Golden
At the moment I’ve been loving pink lips, be it subtle or bright! With every shade I apply on my lips, I love layering over with Mary Kay’s Golden lip gloss. It gives that final touch for a complete look. It’s such a pretty neutral that you can even wear alone, and is one of my must-haves. I have a couple, one in my make up bag and one on my desk at work for quick touch ups!
Now it’s your turn to share with us your makeup essentials. We would love to know what they are and what we are missing in life!
